Who are QE Food Stores?
QE Food Stores is an independent family-owned group of grocery stores with 11 locations across New South Wales. At QE the focus is on local and fresh products, with the fresh produce sourced directly from the famous Sydney markets.
In 2023 the team at QE Food Stores decided they were ready to take on ecommerce to complement their thriving existing stores. They joined Myfoodlink in 2023 and now in 2024 all stores in the group have both a dedicated ecommerce space and an automatically maintained shopfront with Uber Eats, in addition to their existing bricks and mortar stores.
Why did they choose Myfoodlink?
The advantages of the Myfoodlink Product Core allowed the team at QE to create digital solutions that worked and which didn't require staff time and energy to maintain. Across the group and each store’s sales channels, all Point of Sale data is managed by the Myfoodlink Product Core. This ensures all products, pricing and journaling are correct and removes most manual data management tasks from staff.
QE Food Stores use Worldsmart Smart Retail for their Point of Sale system, which allows for two-way integration across all ecommerce channels.
What has been the outcome?
By using the Myfoodlink platform to manage their data, the team at QE were able to greatly reduce staff administration times and related costs. The marketplace integration with Uber Eats meant that what was previously a very manual process is now entirely automated, with the exception of physically assembling the items for each order.
By offering multiple digital shopping options, QE Food Stores are able to provide services to their customers at times and in circumstances that their physical stores are not able to accommodate. They’ve added new revenue streams to their already thriving business, adding new profits with minimal oversight.
